"Dots Architect’s Pencil" is a classic design by Charles & Ray Eames. The barrel is lacquered in black with the Eames’ signatures in silver. The grip is done in matte chrome and has the dots designed etched in it. The pencil is presented in an ACME metal box which includes an eraser and a tube of leads, with a black sleeve and ACME literature.

ACME Studios is an international product design company founded in Los Angeles 1985. The success factor is the intensive cooperation with globally recognized architects, designers, artists, foundations, estates and institutions. In 1997, ACME released their first collection of fine writing tools.
The company's founders, Adrian Olabuenaga and Lesley Bailey, launched ACME in 1985 with a collection of jewelry designed by Peter Shire, a member of the world-renowned Memphis Group. This graduated to working with all fourteen Memphis Designers such as Andrea Branzi, Michele De Lucchi and Ettore Sottsass.
