SETH LONG KEAVENY, was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1975. He received a BA in psychology from Tulane University, and continued his education at the Savannah College of Art and Design to receive a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Furniture Design. In May of 2002, he established his design / studio art firm, Keaveny LLC. Maintaining a modernistic approach along with formalistic beliefs, his company focuses its attention on furniture and small product designs for manufacturers both domestically and internationally.
ACME Studios is an international product design company founded in Los Angeles 1985. The success factor is the intensive cooperation with globally recognized architects, designers, artists, foundations, estates and institutions. In 1997, ACME released their first collection of fine writing tools.
The company's founders, Adrian Olabuenaga and Lesley Bailey, launched ACME in 1985 with a collection of jewelry designed by Peter Shire, a member of the world-renowned Memphis Group. This graduated to working with all fourteen Memphis Designers such as Andrea Branzi, Michele De Lucchi and Ettore Sottsass.
